Playdate with Mason's Bestie

What a sweet surprise! Mason's best friend, Hudson, came over to play today.  The boys enjoyed  playing in the splash table, climbing in the playhouse, and watching movies.

Hudson had his own approach to coming down the slide.
The boys sharing snacks while watching some Madagascar 2.
Time to go, big hugs.
And kisses!

Birthday Party, Finally!

Eventhough Mason turned 2 in February, I refused to throw him a birthday party. Maybe this makes me a bad mom, but I thought it made me a slightly more sane mom. We are settled in our new home, so we decided to host a housewarming/2nd birthday party for Mason. Our morning started with getting the kiddos ready for our baseball themed event.  Maggie had to wear her Mets jersey.
Then the kids enjoyed some sibling bonding, crawling in Reese's bed and sharing a few cuddles and laughs.
Mason was so excited when GaGa, Papu and Uncle Tim arrived.  He knew he would be partying in no time.  I love my wagon, thanks!
Mason enjoyed playing outside with his friends, baseball cake and of course, presents.
Mason and his buddy Beau taking the new wagon for a stroll through the kitchen.
We were pretty adament that Mason not open the boxes to get the toys out until his friends left, in fear of losing small parts.  So, of course, first thing this morning he was ready to get down and dirty with his new toys.  He is so intrigued by his tent, but he is insistent on playing baseball in the tent.
Checking out his new sleeping bag.
Maggie finally woke up from her morning nap to join us.  "I want to play too, Mommy!"
Mason tried out his new mower.  Thanks Uncle Tim, Grandma Krisi, Grandpa Dan and Aunt Molly!  Great minds think alike ;)

Photo Shoot

Ironically, it takes me less time to getting ready for church without Jeremy here. Since he had to work today, we had some extra time on our hands, so we had a photo shoot. I tried to get some naked baby shots of Maggie to capture her lusciousness. Then, I put her in her church clothes and snapped a few. Mason always gets jealous, so I knew I would be able to get a few of him, too. I never imagined he would be up for a costume change and smile. Finally, some great shots of my little man!

Love those big blue eyes!

Upgrade!

With any home, they are never perfect.  Our new home has great space and an amazing location, but some of the interior choices were poor.  It always amazes me what a little paint can do.  The kids bathroom had peach walls with a terrible shower curtain, who knows what kind of vinyl, and hideous white pulls.
I know the shower curtain isn't much better, but the WALLS! And maybe the floors are growing on me but they don't seem nearly as ugly.  They will get replace down the road or when I find that money tree :)
Oh yeah, I changed the pulls too.
The laundry room was the same lovely peach.
Thanks to Pinterest, for some inpiration, it is now a bright aqua.  I still need to change the light out but I don't mind doing the laundry so much anymore.

Family Update

I think Spring is finally here!  We are busy getting settled into our new home.  The kids love having a playroom, Jeremy loves the big 3 car garage and well I love the laudry room, big kitchen and room to run away from the chaos :).  We are meeting all our new neighbors, everyone is really friendly and have created a great community here to raise a family.

We have also been busy with "bucaball" season.  Mason is still obsessed with baseball.  We took him to a Sky Sox game last week and Friday night to Rockies vs Mets.  He cheered the whole game for both teams.  He loved getting to play t-ball in the left field fan zone.  He also discovered his love for Cracker Jacks.
He was so excited to go.  He was decked in all his Mets gear.

Lastly, but certainly not least, Maggie's update.  She had her 6 month doctor's appointment on Friday.  She is a very healthy girl.  She weighed 19 lbs 14oz, 95 percentile and was 28 1/2 inches long, 99 percentile.  She is quite the princess around here.  She can't stand to be left alone and loves to be the center of attention.  Her best friend is Mason.  He can walk in the room and she lights up and starts laughing.  I love riding in the car with them.  I don't know what they do in the backseat but all I hear is laughter from both of them and it is the sweetest thing!  She's a terrible sleeper, still.  She wakes up anywhere from 1 to 3 times a night, but she's a great napper.  I asked the doctor and told me to cut her naps, so we will see.  She is rolling all over the place, and gets in the crawling position, so I'm sure she will take off any day.

Apparently chubby babies snuggle with their bottles.

BUCABALL

Saying Mason is obsessed with baseball is an understatement. He plays everyday, carries a bat, ball and glove nearly everywhere, and would rather watch it than cartoons. His favorite team is the New York Mets, just like Daddy. Maggie and I are just thrown into. So, today I decided to do a photo shoot while everyone was in a good mood and in their baseball gear. Oh yeah, "bucaball!" Mason can say baseball but one of his 1st words was bucaball, so when he gets excited he still calls it bucaball. I love it and dread the day he stops calling it that.

It was also a lot of fun to play with my photo editing.  I have to admit, I think I'm getting pretty good!
