Weekend Away

We had a great weekend. We had the priviledge of celebrating Beau's 3rd birthday. Followed by a night out for Jeremy's work Christmas party and then out on the town and Denver. The next morning we took the kids to Coors Lab.
The kids got some quality play time with Mimy and Paw Paw while Mommy and Daddy got a welcomed break.
Mason tried to convince Daddy he was ready to drive.
Maggie and Kiera's 1st trip to Coors Lab.

The kids were worn out which made for a peaceful ride home.

My Little Angel!  Look at those cheeks.
Maggie had her 1 month appointment last week, she weighed 12 lbs 1 oz, 99 percentile.  She was 23 inches long, 96 percentile.

Halloween and Snow Days

We have been busy lately, especially having Maggie joining our crew. So here are some random pictures from our new life at home, Halloween, and Mason and Daddy's snow day.
Mason and Daddy went to Wal-Mart and got all the gear needed for a great day in the backyard. Mason rode his first sled. They also built a snowman but to no surprise to us, it quickly became a baseball tee as the snowman's head was batted right off!
We had a great Halloween this year. Maggie's costume was to big so she had to rock a Halloween t-shirt and Mason was a monkey. We went Trick-or-Treating with our neighbors, the Liegls. Mason had a great time and filled his bucket!

Mason and his dog, Reese.
Reese loves to sun bathe in our bed, but now she has company.  Reese and Maggie love napping together.
Mason has discovered how useful his step stool is.  He carries all over the house to get to where he wants to be.  Recently he has learned Mom won't let him climb up the bassinet, so he has resorted to using his step stool to peek in on Maggie.  To my surprise, though, he found his way into the storage basket below this week.  It was really hard not to laugh, but I had to discipline him so he doesn't do this when Maggie is in her bed so neither of them get hurt.
This was just a funny face Maggie was making while stretching.
Maggie had her 1st playdate this week with her BFF, Kiera.  Hard to believe Kiera is 2 months and Maggie is 2 weeks old.
While the girls lounged inside, Mason and Beau had a great time playing baseball and climbing in the water table.

First Haircut

After much discussion, I finally broke Jeremy down and talked him into letting Mason get a haircut. Yay! Mason did awesome, he didn't cry and actually sat still the whole time.  Here is the before shot.

And after...So handsome! (I know it's a weird smile, but he was saying "Cheese")

Pumpkin Patch

Mason took a trip with his friends to the Wishing Star Farm Pumpkin Patch. He started the day with a hay ride.  Next to Mason is Rory, Nate and Nicholas.
Then Mason and Mama took a ride down the slide.
He also got to bounce on a Crop Hopper.
Mason enjoyed watching his friends ride ponies and can't wait to join them next year!
He loved running through the Tractor Tire Maze and even crawled in a tire to get a better look.
We finished up picking the perfect pumpkin.
Mason had a great time and can't wait to take his baby brother or sister next year to join him! Happy Fall and Halloween!

Labor Day Weekend

The O'Briens are ready for some football!  Mason and Jeremy both have been converted to Mississippi State Fans, and love to cheer GO DAWGS!
Mason and Jeremy made their first trip to the Balloon Glow.  They were both in awe at close to the balloons we were and hot pretty they were all lit up.  Mason's face is classic!

Mason had so much fun he couldn't stop clapping and cheering to take a family picture but his eyes say it all!

Playing at the Pool

Mason had a great day playing with his Memaw at the pool.
He's gotten so brave since the beginning of summer. He started by barely dipping his toes and hanging by the edge of the shore. Now he walks until he can't touch and "swims."

Watch out Mommy, I'm going to get you!

Memaw and Mason swimming.

I love you Memaw!

Mason's Moving to Big Boy Room

After a long weekend of hard work, we have results. Jeremy and I cleaned out the "office" and made room to move Mason. He seemed right at home in his toddler bed once he had his Monk and blanket.

He even tried laying down.We also took some dressers from J's parents and refinished them. It is pretty cool Mason's dressers were once his uncle's, Daddy's and Papa's. I hope he treats them well!

This was earlier this week, but so cute I had to include it. Mason loves his Woody towel.

Officially a Toddler

So we are out of baby mode (temporarily) and are a full fledged toddler. Mason is starting to test Mommy and Daddy, has about 50 words, runs and climbs, and of course can throw an Academy Award winning temper tantrum.

It's a good thing he is cute! Here he is riding Hopps. No riding the dog is not frowned upon in our establishment. Here is Mason rocking his black eye.Mason still loves to show his love, especially for Daddy. He loves kisses. This picture represents all things Mason without any words.
He also is quite the dancer.
