Blizzard 2013 and Mason Update

Mason is 3!  He is so smart.  We are working on fine motor skills, starting to use scissors and practicing writing.  He loves sports, really all of them, but he loves to play golf and baseball.  Can't imagine where he gets that from!  Below are some recent pictures of him.

We have had a great week with lots of snow.  Both the kids love playing in the snow.

Maggie Pie 16 Months

Maggie Update
She is all girl.  She usually lets me do her hair every morning.  She love lip gloss and wearing Mommy's shoes.  Now, I need to explain, the wild hair.  This is a result of pigtails or pony from the day before.  She is starting to talk, she has about 20 words and know all her animal sounds.  She likes anything Bubba is into.  She is still hanging tough to her 99 percentile stats.  She is about 26 lbs and 32 1/2 inches tall.

She loves bananas.  She eats one almost every day with she wakes up from nap time.

I just love her face in this one!
If you ask Maggie, "Who's cute?"  She grins and cocks her head to the side.  She's so rotten!

I Love You!

Maggie really enjoys baby signs.  We taught them to Mason, but he only used a few, she has almost all of them from our book.  One of her favorites is "I Love You."

Like Father, Like Son

Mason is becoming more and more like his Daddy everyday.  Today, I found them in the same position cuddled up on the couch.  Jeremy was watching football and Mason had Bob the Builder queued up on the tablet.  Some traits they share, are they are both very particular on where things go and everything follows an order, an obsession for how things work, and love for baseball and sports in general.

As Mason grows and desires to be "bigger and stronger" like Daddy, I pray that he becomes a godly man pursuing God.  That he keeps his kind heart and uses it to love and lead others.  I pray that Jeremy and I will be examples for him and Maggie to follow and learn from.

Bath Time!

One of my New Year's Resolution was to update my blog once a week, so we will see if I can keep this and make it happen.   The last post will be hard to top, so I won't even try.  The best nights in our house are bath nights.  The kids love bubbles and playing with each other.  Jeremy and I love that it makes a short night and a bit less work for us.  Here are some recent bath pics.

Through the Eyes of a Child

I love the seeing the world through the eyes of a child.  Mason got a little V-Tech Kidizoom camera for Christmas from his grandpa, Paps.  Paps wanted to give Mason the opportunity to be creative and have a love for photography like him.  I love seeing what Mason sees and what he likes to take pictures of.  Of course, he does take 10-20 pictures of the same thing, and some times they are a little blurry.  Part of that is due to the low resolution and some due to how excited he is, he just can't stand still.
His first picture was of Daddy.
This is Maggie in front of the tree while opening presents with Paps.

The next day we had a snow day and Mason had to take his camera to lunch with Paps.

Darn him!  He got a cool shot of the tree with the effect mommy tried for all night!  He already takes better pictures of than me and he's not even 3.

I love this kid and can't wait to see what else he snaps :)

Merry Christmas

We have had a wonderful Christmas season.  We started November by going to Mississippi and visiting all our family and friends there, then we had my dad and family visit here and had a nice Christmas at home.  We celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Jeremy's mom, dad and brother.
